About BuddyEdit

Buddy, who's a semi-retired circus performer, and somewhat of a magician like Harry is the Judge's biological father. At first, he tells Harry that he is his step-father, but later he reveals that he is his real father. Buddy spent a good deal of time in and out of multiple mental hospitals, where he met Harry's late mother, who was also hospitalized there before she married (and then divorced} Buddy, as Harry was apdopted by the man who raised him, Harry Stone, Sr. and his wife.

In the Season 4 episode "The Next Voice You Hear...", his first appearance, Harry learns he was conceived in a mental hospital, as he then asks Buddy "I'm gonna go out on a limb here... you weren't on the staff, were you?", as Buddy smiles and shakes his head and responds "But I'm feeling much better now!"

Buddy and Amanda's wedding

Buddy and wealthy widow Anita Caswell before their "nuptials" in the episode "For Love of Money" in season 7.

In the Season 7 episode "For Love or Money" Buddy starts dating Amanda Caswell, a wealthy millionaire's widow, after she is brought into court over her limosene hitting a nut truck, and causing damages to it, as she was trying to rush to a charity event, and was running late for it. Harry is happy for Buddy, but when he hears they are engaged, he wonders if Amanda knows everything about his father's background, with him having been in a mental asylum.

Just before the nuptials, which are to take place in the courtroom, Harry and Christine inform Amanda of his past. but she doesn't mind, as she describes her late husband as a ruthless mean person, and she's "had more fun with Buddy than she's had in years", and that she is in love with him as they go on with the wedding.
