Carla Bouvier, usually referred to as Carla B, is a recurring character who appears on Night Court four times in Seasons 1 and 2, beginning with the series pilot, "All You Need Is Love". The part of Carla is played by Rita Taggart in the episodes.

Carla was a prostitute that appears multiple times at the Manhattan Criminal Court (many will remember as the hooker found with Phil Kerr, the husband by Louise, the wife in the pilot's first big case conducted by Harry) in the series pilot. In the episode "Once In Love with Harry", Carla mistakes Judge Stone's kindness and compassion towards her plight for being in love with her, which causes her great embarassment, as she had never been accustomed to a man treating her so kindly when he showed leniency on her in the case that brought her into his courtroom again. Spurned, she contemplates committing suicide in his chambers, by jumping from his office window, until he is able to talk her out of doing so, as they develop a close friendship afterwards.
