About Tony[]
Tony, a detective for the New York Police Department, meets Christine Sullivan when he is assigned to find the person trying to kill Dan Fielding. In part one of a two-episode story "Wedding Bell Blues:Part 1" in Season 7 (episode #3), Tony announces that he is taking a job with the DEA and leaving for South America; on the spur of the moment, he proposes to Christine over dinner and they are married in the restaurant.
In "Wedding Bell Blues:Part 2" Christine second-guesses the impulsive decision, but by episode's end it's 3 weeks later and she discovers that she's expecting. Christine and Tony eventually drift apart and divorce; in the Season 8 concluding two-episode story arc, "Where There's a Will, There's a Tony (Part 1)" and "Where There's a Will, There's A Tony (Part 2)", Tony tries desperately to win Christine back, but she declines to reconcile with him and they go their separate ways.
