Henrietta "Hank" Shannon, Bull's seafaring mother, appears in two episodes of Night Court, first in "Mama Was a Rollin' Stone" in Season 8 (episode #15), then in "Get Me to the Roof on Time" in Season 9 (episode #10). The part of Hank is played in the episodes by Paddi Edwards.

When Bull's mother, Henrietta, or "Hank" for short, makes a surprise visit to the Manhattan Court building to see her son for the first time in several years, he's overjoyed at the prospect of finally getting her to settle down from her life as a sea-faring Merchant Marine, which she's been doing for many years.
Usually a jovial, wisecracking type, Hank, who had many stories about her travels around the world, strangely enough, has a disliking for the similarly jovial Harry, as she reveals not so subtly when she first met him and Bull's other co-workers when she vistted the court building, and then later when she and Bull ivited them all to the pub where she and her crew frequent when they're dry docked in Manhattan.
Hank, who has been traveling the world and visiting many sea ports with her crew, seems to have sailing the high seas in her blood, as she really doesn't want to give the life up, but, in trying to please Bull, who has a plan of setting her up with a Manhattan apartment, is willing to go along with his plans, as he realizes that it would be going against her wishes, as he acquieses and allows her to keep her job with her crew.
in "Get Me to the Roof on Time" in Season 9, Hank gets to meet Bull's fiancee and future wife Wanda Flinn, as she offers to have Wanda wear her wedding dress, which Wanda doesn't want to do, as she acuiqeses.
