John Lykes (born Jonathan Thixton Lykes January 2, 1945-died February 13, 2005) appeared on Night Court, as Ivan Korolenko, a Russian circus performer and the brother of Yakov Korolenko, a friend of Harry's and a recently naturalized U.S. citizen, who's trying to defect from the USSR in the Season 2 episode "World War III".

John, who appeared in comedic character roles in film and TV shows during the 1980's, appeared on, in addition to his Night Court series appearance, also on CBS-TV's Alice and Murder, She Wrote, NBC-TV's Fame and Hunter, the NBC-TV series pilot They Came From Outer Space, and ABC-TV's MacGyver and Home Improvement. He also appeared in the films as Moving Violations and Prime Risk (1985), Tapeheads (1988), and Down on Us (1989).
John died in Los Angeles.
