His friends believe the worst when Dan starts dating a homely, gauche woman who's heir to $40 million.
Storyline[]
Dan becomes engaged to an ugly duckling heiress, but everyone is surprised to hear him swear his feelings are genuine.
Plot Summary[]
Everyone jumps to the obvious conclusion when inveterate lothario and infamous opportunist Dan (John Larroquette) begins dating Patty Douglas (Mimi Kennedy), an unattractive woman who is primed to inherit a fortune. But Dan indignantly insists that he's genuinely in love--and that he'd be genuinely in love even if Patty weren't worth forty million bucks!
