Night Court: Season 7Edit

Season 7 of Night Court began with the episode "Life with Buddy", which featured John Astin of The Addams Family TV series fame, in his recurring role as Buddy Ryan, Judge Stone's biological dad; the episode aired on NBC-TV on September 27, 1989; the season's finale episode, "The Blues of the Birth", aired on May 2, 1990 as a total of 24 episodes were aired in the season.

In Season 7, John Larroquette’s comedic skills really shine brightly as he brings to life arrogant assistant district attorney Dan Fielding. First, Dan gets more than he bargained for when he foolishly agrees to take Bull (Richard Moll) to a private singles club. Then, Dan hosts a controversial late-night talk show where his natural talent for insulting people comes in handy. Plus, Roz gives Dan dancing lessons and Christine falls for Tony Giuliano (Ray Arbruzzo), a NYPD detective assigned to protect Dan when the sleazy DA receives several death threats. The couple court, then wed, and soon they find out she is pregnant! Recurring guest star John Astin (of The Addams Family TV show fame) appears as Harry’s estranged father, Buddy, who used to live in a mental institution. He might just fit right in with the ongoing stream of oddball defendants in New York City’s night court. Gordon Clapp (later of ABC-TV;s NYPD Blue series) and Ray Abruzzo (later of ABC-TV's The Practice series fame) also guest star.
