Timothy Dang made a guest appearance on Night Court as Prince Maurice of Kahlua, who becomes smitten with the D.A. Christine Sullivan, and tries to hold an "auction" in the courtroom, in hopes to "buy" her in order to marry her, in the Season 4 episode titled "Prince of a Guy.
Career[]
An actor and theatre director originally from Hawaii. He serves as the artistic director at the Asian American theatre company East West Players (EWP), in the Little Tokyo section, Los Angeles. He graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre from the University of Southern California.
Theatre[]
Dang has been affiliated with EWP since 1980, as actor and director. He became Artistic Director in 1993, guiding the company's transition from a small theatre company producing Equity 99-seat shows, to a mid-sized company in a 240-seat house in 1995. As a director, he has mounted productions at Singapore Repertory Theatre, Asian American Theater Company in San Francisco, Mark Taper Forum New Works Festival, Celebration Theatre, West Coast Ensemble, and th Perseverance Theatre in Juneau, Alaska. He has won numerous awards for directing and performing, including two Ovation Awards. He has served on the board of LA Stage Alliance.[1]
Film/TV[]
Dang has lent his voice to numerous animated film and TV projects, such ass the films GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman, and the TV cartoon series Jackie Chan Adventures, the Extreme Ghostbusters, and The Blues Brothers Animated Series. He also lent his voice to the 1997 Blade Runner video game, as the Voice of Izo.
In live action roles, he has appeared in guest roles on Brooklyn Bridge, Hunter, Star Trek: The Next Generation.
